1 Why is the Railway Bar called The Dag.
2 Will someone open a nightclub in Ardee and call it Knobs and KNOCKERS.
3 Could someone open a pub and call it The Doctors' so that when I'm goin for pints I can tell the wife I'm goin to the doc's.
4 The Mental is cool.
5 Why do people say Jaysus, or if things are really bad Jaysus Christ.
6 The Kinks are No 1, at least they were in 1968.
7 Paddy Sharkey and Tom Minogue are rides.
8 Christmas in Ardee, it lasts for 3 or 4 weeks.
9 In this time of recession and job losses would it be possible to become a professional fart smeller.
10 The Ardee Man goin for 5,000 hits on the web.

ReplyDeleteI know why the railway bar is called the dag it to do with eastenders and a rival pub was being done up the same time as the queen vic and it was called the dagmar also the railway bar was being done up the same time as enda's,so enda's was compared to the queen vic and the railway bar was compared to the dag. do you get the gag,it was funny at the time,i think it was dot minogue and sean mckenna that came up with that one. true story.
